La Cabrera - climbers on El Cancho Largo 3

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

These climbers were doing a highly technical aid route including this fearsome (to me anyway!)overhang. They asked (from the cliff) if they could see the photos so I left them with details of how to view my photos in Panoramio. I think they will be disappointed as they don't show up as well as I would like with no telephoto lens on my cameraphone. If it has a zoom facility I haven't found it! These 5 pics were the best of a poor bunch of about 20 and the light wasn't favourable either for much of the time.

Hola Andy, veo que te acercaste a los escaladores, aunque por ese lado es dificil subir. Pero por la parte posterior se puede acceder a la cima mucho más facil. Aunque el vértigo puede ser terrible jajaja. Like. Saludos

Yes Angel, I found the scrambler's route once only. I tried to find it again and failed. I have got very near the top quite often but can't find the one route to the very top which I found (beginner's luck) on a cold March day last year BEFORE I had seen it from the south and before I knew what it was and before I had a cameraphone!! I was going to see which route these climbers followed but I had to go (I expect they abseiled down the south face anyway!).

I will try again and succeed!

Best wishes, Andy
