Springtime at Aekingerzand (Kale Duinen)

The first day of SPRING, goodbye WINTER! Early this morning just after sunrise I went to the Aekingerzand. Most of the sheep walking around in that area had one or two lambs. Some of them must have been born recently as some of them had their umbilical cords still hanging on.

I am just guessing, that this morning, the sheep will be left alone to enjoy the rising sun! Right???

Right you are Tomas..... I was already late for work! It is and funny you bring that up as I was looking at a different picture I was suddenly wondering why this small lake is called that way.

I'll see if I can find some info on that...brb

Beautifully backlit, dear Erik, and lovely woollies. I am sure that they as well are happy that Spring has come - lots of tender green shoots to munch (O:

Hello Bits I'm picking up some pieces... on comments THX!!!

Thanks Roby sorry you had to wait this long for a reply.....

Hello Suzi spring came and went as summer was there, now autumn is here to prepares everything for winter again. Most of the little ones have grown up and going to experience their first winter. I sometimes feel for them as they are there with bitter cold and harsh winds.

Have a wonderful day, Erik
