World Map United States Louisiana New Orleans
St. Louis Cathedral, on Jackson Square
Selected for Google Earth [?] - ID: 68898733
St. Louis Cathedral. Since 1727 New Orleanians have worshipped in churches on this site. The original church burned to the ground in 1788 and it took 60 years to build it more or less to what you see, starting in 1794. It has very colourful history!.
I also fooled the GE reviewer by leaving the foreground B&W, and making therefore the cathedral look more significant!

Hi Tom.
Curiosities of this world: St. Louis (319.000 inh.) was the fifth mission founded by my fellow Majorcan countryman Juniper Serra. The names of the missions/cities follow the same order in the map as the saints on the laterals of this church in his native village, Petra (2.919 inh.)
