RUNSWICK VILLAGE IN ONE SHOT!

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The sea-side village of Runswick is another hidden gem along the North Yorkshire coast..It lies at the western edge of a beautiful bay and is accessible by a single road only. Many of the stone built cottages are hundreds of years old being owned largely by wealthy city dwellers who arrive here at week-ends to enjoy the tranquillity of this unspoiled location. The very last cottage at the waters edge can be seen HERE..I took that shot from my boat some years ago.

I'm grateful to my friend Amelia Royan for the charming title..The point being that somewhere in this green and pleasant land there is always a Gorse bush in bloom :))

BTW, I counted two roofers!

Amelia Royan~~~~That's the price I pay for posting big photos Amelia :) The clarity is there once the thing loads up..It's a pity about the gorse:( what ever did kissers do to deserve that :)

mbe21~~~Thanks Mick :) Being seen on the beach in any form of clothing is the usual rule...

antonor~~~It's great to hear from you Antonar :) It's been too long..I'm glad you enjoyed this shot..The sea is only 6C at this time of year and it is unlikely to get much higher than 13C, even in the height of summer :)

Giorgio Sari~~~Buongiorno Giorgio :) ---- E 'sempre un piacere ricevere una visita da te e apprezzo il tuo complimento prezioso - jim

-ila-~~~~It is such fun putting these multi-frame shots together -ila- :) It's the only way to get such fine details on such a large scale...Thank you for your appreciation !

ian1949~~~Thanks bud, you know this place well so your evaluation means a lot to me!

Wil en Ed~~~~Hi Ed :) This is one of the few coastal villages that can be captured in total from a single viewpoint..

buwi~~~~Greetings Bea :)~~~~I enjoy visiting these villages in the early Spring...We get settled, fine weather, good light and very few tourists ;)

Ghiocela~~~~I'm sure you would love it here Simona..Except perhaps you might feel the cold..the slightest breeze from the sea gives you the shivers!

Spiros Nousiadis~~~I greet you warmly Spiros and thank you for your appreciation :)

maurodiotto & mara~~~~The village is just a few Kilometres from my home and there is a wonderful safe beach nearby..It is one of my favourite places..I'm glad you liked it!

To you all, I express my sincere gratitude for your visits, precious comments, your endorsements, likes, especially the Y*'s and for taking the time to look!

Kind regards :)

Jim

The beauty of gorse is, of course, that it is possible to find at least a little bit of gorse in flower on every day of the year, so carry on with the good work and kissing I say. ;))

There is something fascinating about these quaint little English coastal villages, Maybe its all Doc Martins fault but they are beautiful to look at. Great photo, one of many of course.! ~Lex
