In fact, the neighborhood was so new then, the house across the street from us hadn't been finished yet and the roads weren't even paved. It was just gravel. The workers across the street would make so much noise at night when they finished working, that I would sometimes yell to them to shut up! When we moved there, there were only 2 other families on that block. There was a man behind the unfinished house who kept lots of goats and dogs with no gate on his wall so the animals were always getting loose. There was a family across from him who operated a tiny shop by the name of Lamas.
