The Grafton Cathedral

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

I tried this spot many times before and decided that a long exposure with black and white conversion is the go. The long exposure of 64s was achieved with an array of filters.
With the Lee slot filter setup, the first filter was the Big Stopper (10 stop filter) then a Lee soft graduated 3 stop filter and lastly at the front a Heliopan polarizing filter which adds about another 1 to 2 stops. In post I used the Nik Silver Efex trial version for Black and White conversion (<a href="http://www.niksoftware.com/silverefexpro/en/entry.php" rel="nofollow">www.niksoftware.com/silverefexpro/en/entry.php</a>). After reducing the size I selectively sharpened the building and the birds including the pond rim using a mask in CS5.
