The ferns are Tree ferns (Dicksonia antartica). What the photo doesn't tell you is the smell. Eucalypts have a distinct air and when moist you can't get enough of it. Hope you do get the chance some day Chris.

They (eucalypts) are planted here (Arizona/California) as ornamentals/urban trees, but generally solitary and the air is very dry so we don't get the smell - not that I recall. The trees look like they belong here in this view - their natural environment.
