Thank you Steve for your YSL on this shot! The tower is the chief object of interest - Pevsner says it is Norman and "clearly intended as a central tower placed at the East end of the nave" Of course what we see now is a west tower with a blocked 'tower arch' which was intended to be internal. As you say they have done a bit of repair and inserted a window. Best wishes...Tim.

Hi Tim Strange that I have never been to visit Higham-on-the-Hill village church its quite close to me. Like you said the tower looks Norman.Nice well composed take on a good Summers day.(Like2). Regards Bob
