Marias´ Square is typical of their houses, which are extended to the floor beneath arcades and arcade spaces created, popularly called "Laube" [1]. They have shops and craftsmen worked there. Houses are still preserved the original, Gothic cellars. The emergence of the square dates back to before the 1300th All the houses had to fire in 1886 gable roof. They are now using the city of Žilina renewed. Today the square is part of the pedestrian zone in the city and held a variety of events here. During the summer the whole square is lined with terraces. / Mariánske námestie je typické svojimi domami, ktoré majú poschodie vysunuté na arkádach a pod nimi vznikli priestory podlubia, ľudovo nazývané „laubne“[1]. V nich boli obchody a pracovali tam remeselníci. Domy majú dodnes zachované pôvodné, gotické pivnice. Vznik námestia sa datuje pred rok 1300. Všetky domy mali do požiaru v roku 1886 štítové strechy. Tieto sa dnes za pomoci Mesta Žilina obnovujú. V súčasnosti je námestie súčasťou pešej zóny v meste a konajú sa tu rozličné podujatia. Cez leto je celé námestie lemované terasami.
