Our perception of the world is accomplished through comparison of the sensory signals with mental imagery templates which have been formed as a result of long term exposure to life experiences. The mental images are fuzzy enough to enable the efficient cognition of widely differing scenes via categorization. I think my mental image of an emotionally pleasant warm environment is similar to the above photo.
