Hello Ian, I never flew in small planes. Only international flights. Pictures from these planes are rather bad, but I'm crazy with these kinds of landscapes "seen from above", reason why I love Google Earth and pictures mapping. If one time I have opportunity to fly above Vogese, I won't forget my camera!
