Lol, I agree completely. The blue are Blue Bonets, not sure what the pink ones are. Supose to be 6000 variety of wild flowers scattered across the State throught out the year. I do good to know the names of about a dozen. :-(
Hi Laurel, Yes, the Blue Bonets are in their full spring Glory! They are the Texas State Flower. They grow in a wide variety of soil conditions and can be found pretty much all over Texas. :-D

The pink flowers are Downy Paintbrush, mostly a West Texas flower found in the Panhandle, Edwards Plateau, and the Far West, according to "Wildflowers of Texas."
