I think there was one last swallow ;). And if I recall, possibly another glass followed... Thank you Eric from Barcelona! If you ever visit, Lake Crescent is a must see. Regards, alicia

Mike you are digging up my older photos, and finding ones that happen to be my personal favorites - mostly because of the memories they bring back - I'm delighted! Everybody's glass should always be half full rather than half empty. Much healthier prospects in life that way ;D! Speaking of which, maybe I should go fill mine, as their is nothing in it right now - very sad ;(. Have you ever been here, to Lake Crescent? It takes your breath away, in any season.

Where is Geordie land? I will visit your gallery soon to find out. Anything to do with ...two pretty babies have I borne, the third lies in my body...I'd freely part with them every one.. if you'd spare the life of Geordie....

An English ballad - ? Scotland?

Cheers, alicia

Whaye aye lass, aam a Geordie like, frae Newcassel, ya naa. (well aam an adopted Geordie coz aav only bin eer since nineteen sivinty fower)

Does that give you a clue?

Another clue? look for me surfing, there I am , less than half a mile from my home

Yes! Newcastle-upon-tyne is my chosen place of residence, a small ex pit village to the north east of the metropolis. During the Enlish civil war, parts of the country supported the reining monarch(? who) but we supported Good King George the(/)th-and we were called "GEORGES MEN", through time and use the name is now shortened to GEORDIES, but lots of folk claim it as we are such jovial, upright welcoming people!! who like to drink lots eat more and will die for the TOON, our local football team (soccer) Premier league NEWCASTLE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB-'Magpies' as the team colours are black & white

I must have similar tastes? maybe I just recognise artistry when I see it!-dunno, but it sure is weird, eh?

The poem? in my very distant memory ,...it was by a woman (OBVIOUSLY!!) who prayed to God for the safe return of her husband from the war, WW1, I think, maybe earlier, but that's from schooldays!! and the chalk is rubbed off of the slate now ;)

If you have any more questions/comments, please do not hesitate to call and ask.

Thank you for the chance to speak to you, I am making lots of aquante88888 pals! on Pano.

I hope you enjoy my gallery, look out for the unusual, pics & titles, catch you later, 'bye for now, take care,....Mike b¬)

ps excuse the machine gun chatter, my key board skills are not as good as my command of the English language, and that is still difficult to me!!

Your chatter is very welcome and quite a delight to peruse, Mike, the adopted Geordian ;). You have the gift of being able to write how you speak - a wonderful accompaniment to any chronicles you leave of your region (I have yet to swing by your gallery but I am on my way.......).

I think the poem/song is from long before that - and now that I have thought about it more, it is English. ...go bridle me my milk-white steed, go bridle me my pony, for I will ride to London's court, and plead for the life of Geordie.....

mmmm.... perhaps Geordie was under sentence of death for some misdemeanour in the middle ages? the poem/song did and does ring a faint bell wa a a y back in my memory...perhaps it is from the days I spoke of, when allegance to the King George? number? was a death sentence for sure, TREASON!., Can you send me some details please, I would love to try and trace the origins in our local history museum

reet! ME GIN IS CAALIN', AAM OFF!

Hello Antonio, with a new visit from Mexico! Thank you for coming all the way up here and leaving such a kind comment. This truly is a romantic and enchanting place - I hope you get to see it someday. Best from Washington state, alicia

Hallo again, Mike - I am catching all of your older comments, older but nonetheless much appreciated! I believe Geordie was in fact under sentence of death for some misdemeanour, but I think it was more to do with misdirected love, rather than treason. ....he was born of King's royal breed, and he lost to a virtuous Lady.....

I hope you answered the caal of your gin....... -alicia

I don't know if anyone has yet made this observation-Alicia but if I may...the thumbnail looked kinda like a pale blue bikini top!?

If that were true, a very large brazilian is required to mow the front lawn!

It has bin awhile since I chatted to you, but I have perused your gallery often, though there is no excuse for not dropping in, I just bin bizzy!

I mean to remedy my failing attention in the near future, forgive me?
