It is appearing beautifull in snow. I am very happy because Snow here two days ago.
Another lovely shot Rich
Greetings Gulperi and Palmina, Thanks for visiting this lovely stand of trees and commenting. I finally got to go skiing on Trail Ridge Road and on the way there the snow got closer and closer. I stopped and took this picture because of the way the snow faded out the background. On a nice day you have a beautiful view of the continental divide and Glacier Gorge. Up on the ski trip the snow fell at a rate of 1 inch an hour. It was beautiful.
Gulperi - so glad to hear you got snow. Now you can play and get wet and cold. I wore a fleece jacket yesterday and it was soaked when I got back to the car.
Palmina - There was no sunshine, but the snow falling was beautiful. The light was to flat to take a picture with any detail.
Thanks again to all for visiting.
Oooh, I could use a cup of hot chocolate right about now Rich...
Greetings Dann, I got up to Many Parks Curve where the road is closed and it was snowing pretty good. I headed up the road and the snow was anywhere from one inch deep on the asphalt to a couple of feet drifted in. When I got to the old T-bar area of Hidden Vally it was near white out conditions. It was really cool. The ski back down was fairly easy. Thanks for visiting.
Hi Rich! The mist in the background makes the trees look brighter than they can be in this cloudy weather! Good shot!
Greetings Ed, The mist is the snow storm coming over the continental divide. When it is clear there is a spectacular mountain scene behind these trees. It was really snowing up on Trail Ridge where I skied.
A beautiful picture, Rich! Best wishes. Eva
Greetings Eva, Thanks for visiting and commenting. There was still a very thin cloud so some light was getting through to the trees. But to the west the snows were coming in. When I got up to where I would ski it was snowing heavily and I had 4 inches of new snow on the car when I got done. I got wet because I wore just a fleece for a jacket, but it was not bad. I was so warm my goggles fogged up and I could never clear them, so I finally took them off so I could see. It was a wonderful day in the snow.
