Thanks oronbb and Jaques. I was hoping that he might bewilling to hop a few metres to the left and pose in front of the "Look out for Trains" sign. Thallon is primarily a grain loading station on the western plains (note the large grain storages and silos/elevators on GE), so it is one of those places in Australia where kangaroos may be seen hopping down the main street! Ian

Dear Ghislain,

I am pleased that you also appreciate the moment and this big guy's stance!

The fence behind may suggest to some that this animal was in captivity, but no, this is just one of those quite common experiences in this country where roos will hop through the town moving from one feed to another.

Thallon is only a small village where the grain is loaded on the trains for export. Sheep, cattle and roos share the surrounding plains.
