France, la Cathédrale de la Major qui évoque l'Orient, style romano byzantin de Marseille

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore stands on a plaza, a little away from the city center, between the Old Port and the new commercial port near the district of Joliette and Fort St. John. Its architecture is grand, its interior design that evokes the Orient by the Roman-Byzantine style, marble and porphyry, it look especially for a religious building. Built in the second half of the nineteenth century, between 1852 and 1893. Roger.
