When you walk in ruins of Persepolis, you can understand how splendid the palace was before it's destruction. Unfortunately the palace was looted and then destroyed by fire by Alexander the Great. But after, a lot of sculptured stones disapeared in centuries of stealing the building material. But it's stil splendid and breathtaking.
