I was on a flight from Reno on a small Q400 aircraft. It had flown up Puget Sound to come in from the north and I took lots of photos as it flew over the Seattle area and this is the one that had the best overall angle. I was in a seat right near the propeller, so I had to be careful to keep it out of the photo as it really limited the view, but I did get several good shots anyway.
Great shot Larry. Excellent composition inc' a well placed horizon.
Interesting to see the yellowing in the sky - I took a few shots like this one on an almost overcast day in Ireland last October. I noticed the yellowing in the sky and assumed it was a flaw until I observed it a few days later. I guess we have similar skies! Gerry.
I have also notice the yellow to orange light during the two total solar eclipses I saw. Only in that case it was totally surrounding me on all sides near the horizons.
It must be an optical effect since I watch for it now and have noticed it on many occasions when the clouds and sun are at the right locations.
Thanks suggesting a change in the photo location of this image. However, the location marked is from about where I took the photo. I try to places my markers from the photo location and not of the subject.
I also added you to my favorites list so I can check back on your photos and watch for new uploads from you.
No problem Larry. I go back and forth a bit on my locations. Thanks for adding me to your favorites. Do you have any tips on how to find a photo by number, other than browsing?
Until later
Tom
