The old part of Jamma'in, an arabic village in Samaria
Jamma'in (Arabic: جمّاعين) is a big arabic village in the northern West Bank located 16 kilometers southwest of Nablus (Shehem) and 3 kilometers northwest of Ariel. The local legend says that original inhabitants of Jamma'in were Bani Qadama or Salahea tribe from Damascus, but they returned to Damascus during the early Ottoman rule in the 16th century. During their stay in this area, they constructed its first mosque. The two main economic sectors of Jamma'in are stone-cutting and agriculture.
