Veil of York ( Minster)

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

It probably would have been easier to use a very, very wide angle lens but I hate distortion and prefer large images so another stitched job with the usual result that people turn up twice if they move about.

A very fitting title for a great shot Sam,once again the square crop works well, i can see the twins too mate;-))

Thanks Neil, in hindsight I wish I'd not covered so much of the Minster with the veil but it didn't seem to be as hidden as that when I took it. As usual what we see isn't always conveyed as well as we'd like in a photo.

Personally i don't think the veil intrudes as much as that lower branch, but, its a lovely tree and a lovely building, its still a nice scene.

That chap in the foreground has more hair than me,i think he even has more on his chin;-))

I keep saying I should take a chainsaw with me, I had the same bother yesterday when a branch was blocking the view I wanted , mind you I'd have needed a ladder as well in both cases so maybe not ! ;O)

I wouldn't put it past thi, tha knows;-))) iknow you can put a ladder to good use,not sure about a chainsaw though.
