Even I can see that the lighting had to be just right for you to get the composition with the stile, wall and church just so.

Thank you Richard, the stile was easily negotiated and a doddle after balancing amongst the hawthorn hedge as needed to get this shot.

You're right Andy , there is only a brief time when the light shines in the right places and a bright sunny day with lots of ambient light is the ideal so all in all I was lucky to be there when the conditions were as needed. I do prefer this however when there are some new leaves on the right hand tree as it creates more of a window and better balance so I will have to keep it in mind and go back in a week or two and try again.
