Another early morning panoramic from the beach at Sandsend..It is one of my favourite locations..The golden sands of this gorgeous beach stretch for several kilometres and is swept clean by the tides twice per day.
Surfers, fishermen, kite-surfers and swimmers can be seen along here all year round. On sunny days, the beach is a popular venue for locals and tourists alike!
Sea-bathing can only be described as "exhilerating" since the temperature of the North sea rarely exceeds 15C, even in the height of summer!
The groynes are in a poor state of repair and do little to discourage the huge shift in the deposition of sand..If the loss of sand from the beach continues at its present rate, then the village will surely live up to its name!
