Elijah - Jesus Christ - Saint Nicholas
The Russian Orthodox Old-Rite Church (Russian: Русская Православная Старообрядческая Церковь) is an Eastern Orthodox Church of the Old Believers tradition, born from a schism within the Russian Orthodox Church following the liturgical reforms of Patriarch Nikon in the second half of 17th century (Old Believers).
The church is not recognised by the Patriarchate of Constantinople, the Patriarchate of Moscow nor by any of those Orthodox Churches in communion with the aforementioned jurisdictions. It is thus considered to be independent of the group commonly regarded as the Orthodox Church.
Old Rite Temple of St. Nicholas in the Tverskaya Zastava Square is a temple in white stone Vladimir architecture style that was built on the site of a wooden chapel. The construction of the temple started in 1914, it was consecrated in 1921.
