Ireland's top golf club. Venue for Walker cup, Irish opens etc...

Did you get to play the course?

Dann.

Yes Dann. It's links golf at it's best. Very different to the parkland courses. The surface is very very fast with humps and hollows everywhere. It didn't stop the Yanks beating the Europeans though! (Well they did have Michelson and Duval on their team)

Last time I golfed, one of my drives caught the side of a very expensive house ... just a few inches from a large window. I'm a liability on the course. haha

YS What a fantastic view Gerry! :D

Thanks Pam. If you look at the original shot you will see snow on the mountains. Closest I've been to the white stuff yet! The seaside golf links are at their best outside the summer months. It's all natural free draining sand under all that green.

Beautiful golf course captured very well. The colors and depth in the shot are great. Nice work.

Greetings from Virginia USA, Tom

P.S. I have a couple images of the northern part of your beautiful country in my portfolio.

trust me you don't need to Gerry (you are very eloquent :)so I'll stick to country and say you are full of it instead. ;)

You should go visit some of your relatives in Newfoundland and see the kind of weather they get there. ;)

That one is amazing (I haven't seen ice do that). Here's one that shows more of what I was thinking (re crappy weather).

and one more

Now wonder we have Newfoundlanders that have chosen to move out west. They'd rather put up with our cold than live with the above.

er that should be "No" not "Now". (too lazy to delete and find the link again).

very nice! Sorry i don't know a lot about golf, I actually just started playing this year. The courses around here aren't too bad, some are a little better than others. But being that I am just learning I think I will stick to the cheap one, it actually isn't half bad. it had been left alone for a few years, until the owners son came and breathed some life back into it.

Cheers
