Mmmmh! The sign on the right worries me. If you are a tourist, chances are that you are not a "card holder." So, you don't have access to the castle?

Well, this is not really a castle, but a town surrounded by medieval city walls. We've been into it and there was no need for a card... So I don't know what's meant with this sign!

Thanks for you comment Nicholas.

Greetings, Tjarko

Belles fortifications, d'une époque lointaine (1200 environ) Merci.

Beautiful fortifications, one remote time (approximately 1200) Thank you.

I know Aigues Mortes by heart since my early childhood, because my parents got a lot of friends there. I love the city. There used to be traffic and parking problems in Aigues because of more and more tourism, so only "card holders" (people who live there) could enter the old city by car. But the village is very small anyway and you can go everywhere by foot. Anyway, very nice picture of "les remparts" (fortifications).

Thank you Jan-Fritz for your kind comment! Indeed Aigues-Mortes is a beautiful city bordering a beautiful landscape!

Cheers, Tjarko
