A mono conversion of a previous colour upload I wasn't too happy with. In this version I've left the third balloon from the bottom where it was.

like it..the eye shoots straight to the most detailed somerfield ballon..

Thanks LM, I'm much happier with this one.
The somerfield balloon was the only one lit by a shaft of sunlight, so I got lucky there. I even like it that the bottom balloon isn't 'flaming' but the others are.

Thanks Evangelos, this is one that I like more and more, each time I return to it :)

This photograph in back-light is splendid. Moreover, the montgolfiers are decorated luminous tasks made by the burners. It is a splendid composition. David.

Thanks David, it's quite unusual to see b&w photos of balloons - I was quite shocked when I first thought of it :) ..but it worked :))

The sky is huge! The balloons are slightly dark, but the picture is really beautiful!

Thanks Panco, you've probably noticed that I prefer things a little on the dark side at the moment :)

highton-ridley, I am drawn in by the lighting and contrast. Your technique of b&w HDR is quite effective. Good eye too ;)
Best, Ansel
