...and here goes my yellow star. Perfect Marilyn. Perfect composition in lines and colours. I very much like it.

Thanks, Carsten and Palmina. I'm sure you know the feeling while photographing this kind of subject, Carsten: if anyone saw me take this shot, they undoubtedly wondered about my sanity. Why would I be taking a picture of pipes and meters??

Greetings, Marilyn

The colours and composition captured my eye too (and a YS)! :D

Just great!

Nawitka on January 16, 2008

I think this one is my favorite. And what an odd green to paint the pipes!

Marilyn Whiteley on January 17, 2008

Many thanks Pam, Hank, and Nawitka. There was a white picket fence around this collection of plumbing. Imagine my surprise when I looked over it and saw the green pipes!

Hope, there nearby are competent engineers who undestand and can service all of this? :D

Marilyn Whiteley on January 18, 2008

What I hope is that they'll come back and finish the painting. The pipes at the far end are rusty!

Thanks your visit and comments. Maybe this shot will teach to look over fences to see what's on the other side!

Thank you for visiting me, Marilyn, and your compliments. Utah colors are indeed incredible. Your gallery is wide and I will look at it more closely. This one of yours is wonderful. Sometimes it's the things we take for granted and don't usually notice that make the best images. Cheers again from Washington - alicia.

Thank you, Alicia, for your visit and your comments. As I commented on a photo of yours, I haven't had a chance to pay a proper visit to your gallery, but I'm very much looking forward to my further explorations.

I am trying to learn to notice things. It certainly is a rewarding habit to cultivate. Cheers from Ontario, Marilyn
