Unfortunately, I did'nt watch Hitchhiker's Guide series, although I like stories and I'll try to see or read. And I have always liked Fog of J.Carpenter and maybe, in advance, I'll be afraid of the Normal Beasts from this serie :)
Nothing to fear, Phil. The beasts were some sort of temporal anomaly, a stretch of them would occasionally stampede out of nowhere and disappear into nothing just as suddenly a short distance away. The locals called them Perfectly Normal, because they had no other explanation for them. All in all, much like our bridge here, which springs out of nowhere with all of its cars and people. Perhaps I'm not so Perfectly Normal. Check that. I know that I'm not, but that's OK. Cheers! Phil

Perfectly Normal Traffic on a Perfectly Normal Bridge.
The view puts me in mind of Douglas Adams' Perfectly Normal Beasts from the last in the Hitchhiker's Guide series, Mostly Harmless.
