the st joris (george) church in the dutch city of amersfoort. the oldest part is the romanesque (norman) tower, which dates from around 1200 AD. it originally stood next to the original church, but continuous extentions between the 13th and 15th centuries resulted in the tower standing right in the middle of the building.
