Old Lockhouse ~ de Sluyswacht 1695.

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Café de Sluyswacht is in the historical Sluyswachterhuisje (lockhouse): a wonky little house dating from 1695 in the Jodenbreestraat. Once upon a time this was the lockmaster’s house, which later became a hardware shop, and for the last twenty years it has been a café. Inside there is an old stone floor, wooden benches and wooden panelling, a ceiling with beams and shuttered windows.

Even with a map we got lost :) We had to ask someone if they could point out on the map where we were! Oh my feet ached that evening!

Best regards, Rosa.
