Very nice snap, Douglas, how many photos did you have to stitch?

Hi Bob,
This is my best ever stitched panorama. There are 11 photos across and 3 up/down making a total of 33. Doing it in small pieces has the advantage that you can get both the foreground and the distance simultaneously in good focus.
In other cases I have had difficulty with variation in exposure between photos in the sequence. When I then stitch these together the variation in exposure creates unnatural bands of light in the final photo. On other occasions I have had one photo in the middle of the sequence which is out of focus - which spoils the whole endeavour. I have also found that if you try to stitch a Panorama which is too wide it looks just like a coloured ribbon rather than a serious photo.
So overall I am very pleased with this one.

Thankyou Douglas,
For yourself, and those that are interested in this kind of stuff, have you seen this guy's website? : http://www.tawbaware.com/maxlyons/
These are quite awe-inspiring, I would say he needs to get out more, but it looks like he gets out quite a bit!
yours Bob
