A photo with big, impressive sky, Ken. Incredible amount of stars with good old Nasa style sky colours.

You must have been out late ( and without the EXIF I would say also very deep in your archives. Stonehenge is still unbroken :)

Actually sixten this is from the future after Stonehenge was restored following it's purchase by Disney. I took this last night hoping to get some meteors during the Lyrid showers. I only managed 1 meteor and it was after the sky had brightened with the morning light. Thanks for the comments --- Ken

Wonderful stuff. Is that a firefly wandering around inside Ken?

You got me Jethro, the monument was in complete darkness and required the "help" of my trusty flashlight, I thought I had shielded the light source but apparently not! I was so excited with the outcome I posted the first of the series here without even looking at the remaining shots.

I LOVE IT regardless Ken

Well thanks again, focusing is very tough in complete darkness and of course noise is a problem at ISO 3200. After further review I have decided this one is way too soft, it's cool to pick up all the colors and gas clouds but I'm already thinking of a return trip.

I was all too eagerly watching the skies and didn't notice the tricks of light at all. Well, if I had done that probably the guess would have been the druids were a little sloppy when they did the electricity wiring.

Actually, I especially like that the photo looks so much different to common night shots that it almost seems as if it could have been taken at most different places or at most different times... some deserted planet in a distant galaxy maybe, or an earthly place some centuries ago? Who knows...? What's going on there, anyway? Some aliens hiding inside the temple? There are no limits to imagination... ;)

I'm glad you like it Patrick your comments are always appreciated!

Rafael Nice to hear from you again, thanks for the comment. My wife should be returning from Rio in about a month, if not I might make a trip out there, maybe you could show me some of those places where you take your awesome photos!
