Civita di Bagnoregio is a town in the Province of Viterbo in Central Italy, a frazione of the comune of Bagnoregio, 2 kms W from it. It is about 145 kms N of Rome and became known as "il paese che muore" ("the dying town"). Civita has only recently been experiencing a tourist revival. The population varies from about 12 people in winter to ca.100 in the summer.
