Thank you Inessa! This bridge, by the way, dates from the early 14th century (work started in 1303 and took 30 years) and was designed to withstand even the most horrible of floods. (Which makes me think of the floods in Ireland now...)

And in the end, it did withstand all floods up to now, and it still looks very good.

Thanks Manack! I like HDR because it allows for images with detail in all parts of the image, both the shadows and the highlights. I'm not sure that makes it "surreal" but just different from a "normal" image taken with such light conditions. I think sometimes HDR can be closer to what I actually saw with my own eyes; I really did see a blue sky with clouds, and a bridge of this colour. But I couldn't get a normal picture that showed both. With HDR, I could.
