Lovely flat earth C-Line, at least you are in the right state there :)

InTheBush on April 29, 2012

Hi Geerten we had a variety of conditions on this crossing...the thing that really struck me was that one could look around and see where it was raining many km away...so fascinating! Derek and Ebi, I love it too, some people say it is boring but not I!!! Lex don't you just love big skies and horizons!!

How did I miss commenting on this?? It's such an evocative image for me. I've only travelled that road once, when I was a 7 year old kid. The road was unsealed with auto wreckage from time to time along the way. We were in my father's FJ Holden, and he drove wary, because FJs had a reputation for roll-overs. The road was pretty murderous. I think I have an old image of a burned-out removal truck hidden somewhere, taken on that trip. I'll try to find it. Although I haven't done that road since, I understand where Ebi's coming from. I've done many trips up to Exmouth and Coral Bay and enjoy those drives immensely. It is a great image Caroline, really beautiful. And I must take my partner over that way some day soon. She has never left good ol' WA.

Dear Jock my apologies for the delay in finding your comment!! It certainly is a trip which every Aussie should make, if they possibly can. I hope you and MrsJock do get to experience the Nullarbor together. It's one of those trips of a Lifetime (no matter how many times one does it ;-))

GasGasL€X on January 6, 2014

I can't wait for October, then it's my turn to drive this boring flat treeless plain... :-))

InTheBush on January 6, 2014

You will love it ;-)
