Nice one Alan! This makes me adjust my mental image a bit, I hadn't realised that there were also roads in between the university buildings. I had the mental image of Oxford being a university with only grass and bicycle paths on the campus, somehow. (Maybe because that's what you see in movies :) )

Cheers, Justin

Thanks Justin! Yes this surprised me too, there were university buildings right on the main street of the city. It was a beautiful city, the sight I remember most was the bookshop, if it wasn't the largest in the world it sure felt like it!

Great shot Alan, did you get in the covered market? Very Victoriana!

Thanks Ian! Yes I had a coffee in the market, like being in a Victorian time-warp! :-)

I always like your "old times" photos, you choose the right pictures to make the B&W or sepia effects.

Thanks Alex! Sepia seemed appropriate for this shot; as you can see from the architecture, not much has changed in Oxford since only B&W cameras were available :-D

Brilliant image. Where did you take this from?

Thank you so much elfbwillow, this was taken from St. Mary's Church.
