Wow, a very impressive photo, Pete. It's a great perspective through the hull, and I love the bright green growth on the old timbers.

Greetings, Ryan

Greetings Pete. Am I right in thinking that it is a wooden ship. The frames appear to be Oak and she seems to be Clinker built with over-lapping strakes. Having said all that,I doubt that a wooden ship could have survived for so long. It is a fine photo. Nice job.

Cheers.

Jim

Hi Jim,this is a Norwegian Barque, and yes it has a wooden hull,it has kept well as the silt from the Severn Estuary has preserved it.Thanks for looking and your comment. Cheers. Pete.
