Maiden's Cliff is a vertical rocky wall of Mt. Megunticook,overlooking the lake Magunticook.The spectacular Nature's landmark of its Beauty, where Camden Hills meet the Maine's shore of Penobscot Bay. The White Cross stands there in the memory of the fatal fall from the cliff of 11 years old Elenore French on May 6, 1862.The little girl fell while trying to catch her hat,taken to the abyss by wind. The girl followed.
