Someone has worked hard, though I'm not sure how accessible it is! You have lovely light and very good composition in this one, Ryan. Marilyn
Thanks Marilyn! Don't worry, the middle pile is covered with a tarp!
Beautiful photo, Ryan, with the sun in this lovely, fresh snow! And if the wood isn't to wet a nice, cosy fire, while the wind is blowing outside.
Hi May! Thanks for visiting my firewood. These new piles at the bottom aren't ready yet anyway. The wood under the tarp is plenty dry, and that pile should last quite a while.
Hi Ryan, ist it your own firewood? So nice to sit near an open fire in good company and maybe a glass of wine or a hot cup of tea and a nice talk. :) May
Hi May. Yep, those are my stacks, and I'm making good use of them tonight, and the rest of the weekend. We just got a big surge of Canadian air move through this afternoon, and the temperatures really dipped.
I hope, it doesn't get too cold in Missouri. But with your wood it will be nice and cosy! We have temperatures here up to 10° and more, far too warm for January.
May, we've had our coldest temperatures of the winter so far this weekend. It was fairly mild, just above normal in the 40s with lows in the 20s, until this weekend. But now we have lows as cold as 2, and the highs won't get above freezing until next weekend. We usually don't get single digit temps and whole weeks below freezing until February, so the cold is actually coming earlier this year. So far, my prediction for a cold winter is coming true, and I bet there will be plenty of negative temps before February is over.
Cozy greetings, Ryan
Ryan, let's hope it won't be quite as cold, as you think now in your place. Here, it's still unusual warm for January!
Warm greetings, May
...and here we are in winter again and five years older :) and hoping for an early spring!
I hope you are all well, dear Ryan!
