I assume this is one of your photos that has now been retrospectively rejected for GE as being too small - and with 2,137 views!!

Yes Tony, that's correct, and I think their tardy rejection is GROSSLY UNFAIR. Another rejected photo that's also apparently 'too small' has 4977 views! It sure makes me wonder exactly WHEN they changed the rules of acceptance, because obviously each of my mapped photos was at one time reviewed and added to Google Earth... and now arbitrarily removed.

Possible explantion: Google Earth policy and not Panoramio could be to blame. There have been 5 million shots accepted for Google Earth from Panoramio over a relatively short period of time. Google Earth may have decided to implement a quality threshold based on pixels. Meaning if all GE-accepted shots fall below this new threshold then they are rejected - even if they have been up for ages (like yours).

I would say ths was a Google Earth issue.

Hi Tony,

yes, we now remove all the photos that are smaller than the thumbnail that we show in the Panoramio photo (i.e., less than 500 pixels in the biggest dimension).

Your photos are a bit under the limit, and I understand that people that are close to the limit may feel a bit pissed, but we had to put the limit somewhere.

Cheers,
