Christos, you ask why it does not work out well with the new petition?
In the previous petition to save Panoramios it was about Panoramio itself. Not only to one aspect which does not for everyone has the same weight.
It is nice to know how many times my photos are be seen. But is that the ultimate reason that I show photos here? I think not!
You are the reason. All of you with whom do I care for contact and exchange. For this I do not need any statistics.
So why should I wear a petition for a less important detail with?
Detlef H. - Many thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm not wondering why the petition goes slowly, because I know why.
I just give some feedback for spreading the link.
It isn't only one aspect with malfunction.
Photos aren't mapped in Google Maps since July 2015 & even uploading has some bugs.
Two days before I uploaded a photo and mapped it, but it didn't appear in my front page.
Off course I prefer a working Panoramio in any case, than a Panoramio not working at all, but why to loose functions and features offered from the initial site ?
All these malfunctions are caused by Google's negligence. I should not give a dam about stats (as I do in Facebook & 500 px - because there I don't comment at all), if there were not in the initial plan of a well working site.
And we must also think that there is always the danger of multiplication of the bugs, day by day, and a sudden death of Panoramio.
That's why we must do something and not waiting that all our work may may be depended from ... God's will ! :-)
Very nice Picture. LIKE 370.
Best wishes from Germany, Gerda

After the first petition with 10.500 signatures, in June 2015 Google said that "Panoramio will stay alive". Now just one year after that declaration, they decided to close Panoramio forever. Any sense of credibility is totally lost, together with our work !!!!!!!!!
I ask everyone to fight for the preservation of this platform! The address for your protest:
Alphabet Inc. Attn Corporate Secretary 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
There is also a New Petition in change.org, but only with pétitions we can't do anything, if Google doesn't want to hear anymore.
