These are the fruits of the dog rose, Rosa canina.

Rosa canina is called as wild rose in Poland. What about wine made from this rose?

Hi wojtex. I didn't know you could make rose hip wine but I see there are many recipes on the web. Personally I prefer scotch whisky :-)

My parents made rose hip wine and my mom was very fond of rose hip jam. The jam is awful -- perhap the plumper species make better jam. The wine is not much better, IMO. I also prefer scotch whiskey. This is a nice photo!
