'Sleeping Beauty' mountain silhouette at site of Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine. Miami, Arizona.
This is the mountain silhouette in the form of a sleeping lady that gives its name to the mine, which mines some of the best turquoise in the world, noted for its purity and lack of 'matrix'.
Dear Mr. Bill Paul,
I love seeing beautiful photos as well as enjoying all kinds of beautiful art pieces and beautiful nature. Thanks to the internet, I can visit all sorts of beautiful sites sitting in a chair in Tokyo, Japan.
I am working for a stone accessory company and recently I was told by a department store that they were looking for the photo of the Sleeping Beauty mine which was closed in 2013. They wanted to show it in their catalogue providing the few remaining peices of Sleeping Beauty turquoise, which will be supplied by us. I don't know if it sells or not but even it won't sell, it will be very interesting information for everyone who look at that catalogue to see that the Sleeping Beauty mountain really looks like a sleeping lady.
So, I was looking for the best photo of it in the world and came accross your photo. Then, my question is, how can I get your permission to use your photo in the department store catalogue in Japan?
How can I contact you to know more about this matter? Your photo is surprisingly lively that it really looks like a beauty peacefully sleeping under the blue sky. I don't know if I can get a reply from you but thank you anyway for this stunning view. I'm sure everyone who comes to this site will appreciate your works which are generaously shared here.
Hi Yuko. You can contact me on Bill_paul@btopenworld.com. I look forward to hearing from you. Bill
