It's good to open this photo and this one in 2 separate windows and switch between them back and forth to see the attack.

Thanx for your comment! I spent an hour waiting for the adder to attack. But it was worth it!

Tlapp, on March 8, 2008, said:
No, it wasn't my leg. It was my brother's. He recovered quite quicky :) Thanks for visiting. Regards, Rafal

you mean your brother was actually bitten ??
Tlapp, on March 8, 2008, said:
No, he wasn't. Even if he had been, the adder wouldn't have hurt him for he wore a nice pair of boots. Ragards, Rafal

Greetings Rafal, Very cool, the snake is on the defensive from the big folk. We have always had pet snakes (captive bred) and share them with the school kids.
Cheers,
Rich

Hi Rafal. Your brother and you did this stunt for a foto, or was it a accident?
Tlapp, on March 29, 2008, said:
As you can see in the exif info all my viper shots were taken on one spring day (there are so many of them in spring!). This we found on our path. We decided that one of us would tease the snake and the other would take pics. Since he was younger his job was to tease the viper. While he was doing so I was shooting (3 shots per sec). And finally it attacked and luckily I captured that moment. Neither my brother nor the snake were injured! Regards, Rafal

Ciao, Tlapp.
Very, very two beautiful snapshots! My compliments!
A very rare type of viper (in Italy) and a great photographer at the same time. Even more rare!
Please, tag your great photo with snake, and if you want, watch this
Greetings from Genoa, Roberto.
