'The Cross Vault' - St. Nikolai Church, Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Selected for Google Earth [?] - ID: 71589786
St. Nikolai Church in Flensburg, dates in its current form from the 16th century. It is notable because of its huge spire, rising high above the Südermarkt on which the building stands. The building is an example of Gothic architecture and inside is a Renaissance organ – the largest in the region – by Heinrich Ringerinck. The building suffered from a fire in the 19th century, so much of the interior dates from subsequent reconstructions.
