Gorgeous shot! We have had some great sunsets here of late...problem is there is nothing like this for the foreground:) Lucky you! The more I look at this one...the more I think the landscape almost steals the show! Except maybe those magical rays of sun:) Like!

THAT Mike me ol' mucka is the reflection of the sun, reflected back from the sensor onto the rearmost element of the lens and then taken a picture of by the aforementioned bloomin' sensor.

Daft as a brush. I could have got rid of it before I published this and now everyone will me mocking my Star Wars category competition entry!!


That's life eh?


PS - I was oop this hill wi a reet bunch o' Geordies an all. I had me missus' folks ower and we had a reet good lark, like.

The sky was sorted in post processing. The process was the same as the Cold Mountain shot - 3 bracketed RAWs, blended in Photomatix (free) and tone mapped by hand in Luminance (free).

You can tek the man outa Yorkshire, but ya canna tek the....... etc.
