The line in this picture is great. I also like how the shadow is reflected on the wall. Great picture.

Thanks, this is one of my own favourites, I love the strong shadows.

REALLY EXCELLENT and yellow and best of indeed !

Thanks! It's actually made up of three layers (of the same image) with different exposures, kind of a manual HDR. This was necessary to retain some detail in the stonework on the right, and maintaining the shadows on the left.

I was reading the HDR process yesterday and it is very interesting. I will begin using it shortly.
Do you use RawShooter for processing RAW files please ?. I read Adobe bought this company. I hope to see any links selling it as a plugin or standalone app.
I added some new images now. Have a look please.

By the way, may I ask how many exposure steps you performed in this shot please ?.
I would do base and then x3 1/2 stops over, under to catch some more shadow hues.
I assume RGB->BW conversion later on.
Matthew Walters, on March 7, 2007, said:
I have used RawShooter, but I'm reasonably happy with the standard Photoshop conversion.
This particular image was based on one exposure, but I opened it 3 times in Photoshop - as it was RAW I cheated the exposure up and down. I then layered the thre into one image, using layer masks to balance the exposure. I also used the dodge and burn tools to help with the detail. Because I new I wanted a mono conversion, I did this as part of opening the file.
Finally, I used levels and brightness/contrast adjustments.

Hard work indeed, but the result is excellent.
Maybe if you contact the museum they might buy some of your prints...

Hey wonderful shot, that shade lines on the wall are great (you were very lucky to go to the museum in a sun shiny day :-P)

Thanks Sonia. An early alarm call helped with the lack of people too...

Hello, I work as a photography teacher from time to time, I’m starting my the next courses in October and I am starting to prepare the content, I usually show to my students photographs from non professional photographers (professionals as well of course) as examples of what I teach them. I'm writing to you and some others favourites of mine from Panoramio. I was wondering if I could use some of your images, because I love them. I would want them with your name on them (visible) and for screen resolution (something like 1024x728, 72 dots per inch). Maybe you could send them by e-mail. Do you feel like it? Don’t feel obliged if not, there’s no problem. Thanks in advance, Sonia Villegas Please, answer me in one of my photos, like that I will see it for sure
