Thanks for your response, Erwin. I am sorry I haven't seen it till now. The long drought had left very little water in the lake, but in the fortnight prior to this photo there had been some good rain, hence the discoloured floodwaters have begun filling the lake again. The quarry from which much of the rockfill for the dam wall was extracted is full of clean water and is a nice colour contrast to the lake.
Anyway, warm regards from the other side of the Pacific.
