My grandson loves tigers. I'd love to take him to Sumatra to see one in the wild, but we might have to settle for orang-utans in the Sumatran wild reserves, instead. For the Tigers are now confined to rather inaccessible terrain in Sumatra, nowadays.

This image was taken somewhere south-east of Berastagi...a long way south-east!

Just a big pussy cat - but I don't think I'd like him sitting on my knee for a scratch!

I am not sure whether you are aware, Palmina, of the significant populations of wild camels in The Centre. I saw a herd of them in the interior basin/plain at Kata Tjuta. If you do get to photograph them with Kata Tjuta in the background, be sure to share it with us!

I'd give my eye-teeth for a zoo nearby!

Lovely photo of an impressive beastie Ian!

Pam,

It is a wonderful privilege to visit a great zoo.

But at least you live among the animals, including the wild ones of the world between the Prairie and the Mountains! I so much enjoy locating the wildlife of your continent, in the wild.
