Hi Friends, This is Jigar patel from Nature Club Surat.

Nature education is our main aim. We conduct slide shows, talks, snake shows & exhibitions in schools & clubs. We organised nature education camps each year in Dang forest during Diwali holidays, where students come and stay in tents, learn about birds, reptiles, insects, plants, rocks and stars. They participate in trekking, painting, nature crafts, rock climbing, quiz and debate. We also take groups to Nature camps in Himalayas, Gir forest, islands near Dwarka & Saurashtra. We have outings in wildlife sancturies & national parks. Outing for bird watching and star-gazing are regular features. Tree plantations on protected premises keep members busy during monsoon. We organize hiking, back-packing & cycling trips in forest areas. We oppose destruction of wildlife & wetland habitats by creating public awareness & if necessary, with legislation. A conscious efforts to prevent cruelty against mute, innocent animals is started by the club in the form of Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA, Surat chapter). We take care of injured animals and birds. We rescue snakes & all animals in distress.
